The Delegation of the Finnish Academies of Science and Letters

The Delegation of the Finnish Academies of Science and Letters is a cooperative body of four academies of sciences and letters in Finland. It is part of the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies.

The Delegation of the Finnish Academies of Science and Letters operates both nationally and internationally to promote high quality research in all fields of the sciences and the humanities. Its areas of concern include science policy, the production of research-based expert reports and statements, research assessments and awards as well as science communication in the wider society.

The Delegation of the Finnish Academies of Science and Letters represents the Finnish academies of sciences and letters in international scientific organizations. It is also responsible for coordinating the activities of about 30 national committees that represent various scientific disciplines.
