The Science Forum’s 50th anniversary

The Science Forum celebrates its 50th anniversary with the theme A Leap into the Unknown. In addition to lectures, the five-day programme features discussions, specialist seminars, exhibitions, new books and planetarium shows. The Science Forum’s sister event, the Night of Science, will take place across Helsinki on Thursday 21 January 2027.

The Science Forum takes place at the University of Helsinki Main Building and Think Corner. Selected sessions will also be streamed online.

You can explore the programme on the Science Forum website. Most of the programme is in Finnish, with some sessions in Swedish and English.

Admission is free.

The Federation of Finnish Learned Societies (TSV) is the main organiser of the Science Forum.
