What unites the 270,000 members of learned societies? A desire to learn more.
Learned societies are communities where curiosity and a desire to understand the world bring people together. They offer meeting places and networks for researchers, students, professionals and members of the public who are passionate about research-based knowledge and making a difference.
Most societies welcome anyone interested in their field. You do not need an academic background – an interest in the field and the society’s activities is enough. Use our comprehensive member society search to find a society that matches your interests and explore the world of science and research.
